Orange County, CA – Yesterday, three-time Dove nominated recording artist Jadon Lavik brought his latest project Art and Soul direct to fans. His new single “Shine” is already receiving excellent reviews from industry sources including:

“The new release from Jadon Lavik takes you on an incredible journey of worship. Each song is chocked full of heartfelt lyrics and amazing melodies and instrumentation that gently paints a wonderful canvas and allows listeners to be engulfed in praise to our King.” - Jamie Wilson, Director of Content, HearItFirst.com

“Jadon Lavik is one of those immensely talented artists who, though five releases into a noteworthy music career, has yet to really register on the Christian music radar. There’s no other explanation: the radar must be broken. Art and Soul, Lavik’s new project, is worthy of its title, calling to mind songwriting on par with the likes of David Wilcox, Jill Philips, Jon Foreman, Derek Webb and Steven Curtis Chapman. Too many superfluous sounding adjectives apply here, so I’ll just say this: Until the radar is upgraded, ‘tis best to go look for the good stuff yourself. You can start with Jadon Lavik’s Art and Soul.” - Melissa Riddle Chalos, Senior Content Strategist for GMC, gmclife.com

"If you like soulful and catchy songs of faith, look no further than Jadon Lavik. "Shine" is Jadon's best new song since "What If." Jadon's songs blend great music and vocal sincerity with personal reflections and confessions." - Kevin Davis, NewReleaseTuesday.com.

"With Art & Soul, Jadon Lavik puts a new spin on his style, throwing some hip blues sensibility into the mix. Lavik's set up camp in the crossroads between Chris Tomlin and Johnny Cash, and it suits him well." – Garrett DeRossett, Jesusfreakhideout.com.

“Unfortunately, the cookie-cutter mentality of the secular music industry has found a foothold in the Christian music scene, but Jadon Lavik has never been a product of that. He is the real deal - a talented songwriter, a gifted worship leader and a stellar musician whose heart for God supersedes any desire for industry accolades. He simply has a profound desire to worship Him with the talents he's been given, making him truly an artist after God's own heart.” - Tony Guerrero, Director of Creative Arts, Saddleback Church.

“Saddleback and I LOVE Jadon Lavik's music! His deep musical expression matches his character and consistent passion for Jesus Christ!” - Rick Muchow, Pastor Of Worship, Saddleback Church.

The album features Lavik writing and self-producing an exquisite symmetry of congregational worship tunes combined with intimate singer-songwriter life stories.

Art and Soul showcases Lavik’s trademark vocals and acoustic-driven style through an array of songs telling of the changes he’s been through in leaving the road, to leading worship at Pacific Coast Church in San Clemente, California, to new emotions dealing with fatherhood and family changes. These tales are all played out in the context of his life as a husband, father and pastor who is living to worship a tangible Lord.

“I think the album title speaks well to where I find myself as an artist: balancing my music between the Christian music world and the Church. The truth is, I have a heart for both and recognize that I value and enjoy both,” says Jadon Lavik.

Previously nominated for three Dove awards, Lavik has toured with artists such as GMA’s 4-time winner for Female Vocalist of the Year Natalie Grant Grammy and Dove-award winner Rebecca St. James, top-selling band Barlow Girl, and the award-winning band Hawk Nelson. His four albums, Moving on Faith (2004), Life on the Inside (2006), Roots Run Deep (2008), and The Road (2009), have generated top radio hits including “What If” (Top 5 AC and #1 Inspo), “Come Thou Fount” (Top 5 AC and #1 Inspo), “Father” (#1 Inspo) and “Changing Happy” (Top 10 AC and Inspo.)

Originally from Redmond, WA, Lavik moved to Southern California to play baseball at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. After graduation and learning to play guitar, he was invited to pursue music and ministry under Rick Muchow, Pastor of Worship at Saddleback Church. In 2004, he was signed to a contract with BEC Recordings. Lavik currently resides in San Clemente, CA where he disperses his time between touring, living at home with his wife and two children, and leading worship at his church.
